She grew up in a large family with four sisters. Historians note that Julia was a very cheerful child with a great sense of humour, which allowed her to make light of any situation in life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She met her future husband during childhood, for the first time at a cinema. It&#8217;s worth noting that Julia was very popular with boys in her youth, as she dressed smartly and even went to bed with make-up on. Alfred Lennon was no exception; he fell in love. It was Julia who proposed to her beloved. She didn&#8217;t inform her family about the ceremony, so no one from her relatives was at the wedding. The couple organised dinner at a local restaurant and then went to the cinema\u2026 and spent their wedding night separately. Furthermore, the very next day, Lennon sailed to the West Indies for three months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be noted that Julia&#8217;s father didn&#8217;t approve of her husband and was against their relationship altogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 9th October 1940, Julia gave birth to John. Alfred was at sea at the time, so he didn&#8217;t see his newborn son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1946, our fellow Liverpudlian separated from her husband, though she didn&#8217;t officially divorce. By then, she was working as a waitress near the school her son attended, which allowed her to pick John up on time. Julia began living in a common-law marriage with Bobby Dykins and was forced to entrust her son&#8217;s upbringing to her sister, Mimi. The reason was that Julia&#8217;s relatives believed John wouldn&#8217;t receive proper upbringing in such a &#8220;marriage.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Julia_Lennons_Children\"><\/span>Julia Lennon&#8217;s Children<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides John Lennon, Julia had other children. Between 1942 and 1943, Alfred was constantly at sea, so Julia frequented nightclubs. There, she met a soldier named Taffy Williams, and they began a relationship. As a result of this relationship, Julia gave birth to a daughter, Victoria Elizabeth, in 1945. Williams was the child&#8217;s father. The woman&#8217;s family forced her to give up her daughter at the maternity hospital. Victoria was later adopted and given the name Ingrid. Interestingly, after his mother&#8217;s death, John tried to find her, but he was unsuccessful. In fact, Ingrid&#8217;s (Victoria&#8217;s) adoptive mother told her about her biological family. Upon learning the truth, Ingrid did nothing, as she didn&#8217;t want to upset the mother who raised her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also had two daughters with Dykins: Julia Baird and Jacqueline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_Julias_death_affected_the_famous_singers_life\"><\/span>How Julia&#8217;s death affected the famous singer&#8217;s life&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On 15th July 1958, our local resident was hit by a car. The driver was a drunk police officer, Eric Clague, who was completely acquitted, incidentally. Lennon was buried in Allerton Cemetery in Liverpool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John took his mother&#8217;s loss very hard. The singer drank for two years and got into fights. It was a great emotional trauma for him, even though he had lived separately from his mother for most of his childhood. Ten years after Julia&#8217;s death, The Beatles wrote the song &#8220;Julia.&#8221; This composition was dedicated to Lennon&#8217;s mother. John also dedicated the songs &#8220;Mother&#8221; and &#8220;My Mummy&#8217;s Dead&#8221; to his mother. And John named his firstborn son after his late grandmother \u2013 Julian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such is the life story of Julia Lennon, mother to a famous singer.
