In 1951, the first Miss World pageant in London included a bikini round, which caused criticism from the public and the church. It wasn’t until the 1980s that swimwear rounds became a regular feature again.
It should be noted that contestants must meet a number of requirements: they must be unmarried, have no children, have no bad habits, and must not have participated in any dubious projects. However, the discerning judges evaluate not only outer but also inner beauty. After the contest, the winner becomes a goodwill ambassador and is expected to engage in charity and volunteer projects.
