Modelling Career
Born in Liverpool in 1983, Jennifer’s journey into the performing arts began at the tender age of three with dance classes. She first attended a dance school in Liverpool before moving on to the Elizabeth Hill School of Dance in St Helens. Her talent quickly became apparent, leading her to pass examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance, even featuring in their instructional videos. Our local star also excelled in exams with the International Dance Teachers Association, winning ballet and modern dance titles at the IDTA Theatre Dance Championships. In 1998, she was honoured with the Carl Alan Award for Ballet. However, Ellison ultimately put her promising dance career aside to pursue acting. Interestingly, in 2012, she decided to join the cast of “Dancing on Ice,” where she and her partner Daniel Whiston secured a respectable fourth place.
Regarding her modelling work, Jennifer has graced the pages of numerous high-profile magazines, including Maxim, Nuts, Zoo Weekly, FHM, and other popular men’s publications. Her striking looks later led her to sign a lucrative contract with the lingerie company “Ultimo.”
In 2005, she was famously named the “Sexiest Blonde in the World” by Nuts magazine, triumphing over fellow model Victoria Silvstedt and pop sensation Britney Spears.

More Than Just a Model
Jennifer Ellison wasn’t content with just a modelling career. Her stunning looks undeniably opened doors into various other facets of the entertainment world.
From 1998 to 2003, Ellison starred as Emily Shadwick in the popular soap opera “Brookside.” Following her stint on the soap, she fronted the documentary “Jennifer Ellison Does Thailand.”
In 2004, viewers saw her conquer the television reality show “Hell’s Kitchen,” emerging as the winner.
Jennifer Ellison also made appearances in a variety of other television programmes, including “With a Little Help From My Friends,” “The Verdict,” “Dirty Dancing – The Time of Your Life,” “ITV Loose Women,” and “Most Haunted.”
Ellison also landed roles in episodes of the British television series “The Brief,” “Hotel Babylon,” “New Street Law,” and “The Commander.”
Music and Theatre
After a successful run in modelling and television, our local talent decided to venture into music, releasing two pop-rock singles. In 2003, she debuted with “Baby I Don’t Care,” followed by her second single, “Bye Bye Boy,” a year later. Both tracks resonated with audiences and enjoyed considerable popularity at the time.
Next on the star’s agenda was the stage. In 2004, Ellison took on the lead role of Roxy Hart in the West End theatrical production of “Chicago” at the Adelphi Theatre. This successful run was followed by a national tour.
In 2007, the actress and model joined the cast of the “Boeing Boeing” revival at the Comedy Theatre in London. That same year, she starred in a “Chicago” gala performance and played an Angel in “Liverpool Nativity,” a contemporary retelling of the Christmas story.
Just a year later, our hometown star appeared in the pantomime “Cinderella” at the Liverpool Empire Theatre.
In 2009, Ellison took on the role of Beth in the musical adaptation of “War of the Worlds.” She also performed at the Regent Theatre, starred in “Peter Pan” at the Churchill Theatre, and featured in the pantomime “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” among others.
On a personal note, Jennifer married boxer Robbie Tickle in 2009. The couple are proud parents to three sons.
